Hoefling: Equal protection is required

SALT LAKE CITY -- Long-time conservative activist Tom Hoefling was in Salt Lake City Friday night, to address delegates at the Constitution Party national convention.

Hoefling began his remarks with the state motto of South Dakota: “Under God, the people rule.”  In earlier American times, Hoefling said, “it was understood that in this country, the people are sovereign under God.”  He said we need to remember “who is in charge.”

A current and former candidate for president, Hoefling is the founder of America’s Party.  He said the people in the room represent a wider body of people.

“We have to pull together all of the decent, sincere patriots in this country,” he said, as he called for unity.

Hoefling focused his remarks on abortion.  He said the Republican Party had failed to properly handle this critical issue.  Republican and Democrat policies have “betrayed the principles of the Declaration of Independence,” he said, “that all men are created equal, endowed by their Creator.”

“Tomorrow, [Americans] will kill another three to four thousand babies in this country,” he said.

“We have to explain this to people, that equal protection under the law is required, by the principles of our national charter, the Declaration; by all the stated purposes of the Constitution, and by its explicit provisions; and by the provisions of all of our state constitutions.”

“They all require equal protection,” said Hoefling.

After his speech, Hoefling received questions from the audience.  One question was asked about the fundraising of America’s Party.  Hoefling said the party had long ago changed its policy on donations.  The party had stopped accepting donations so that it could focus on volunteer work.

Tom Hoefling is one of eight candidates in Salt Lake City vying for the Constitution Party presidential nomination. The party will make its choice for president and vice president on Saturday.

“They live in the strength of that which they would destroy.”

"Withdraw from Christendom the Bible, the Church with its sacraments and ministry, and Christian morality and hopes, and aspirations for time and eternity; repeal all the laws that are founded in the Christian Scriptures; remove the Christian humanities in the form of hospitals and asylums, and reformatories and institutions of mercy utterly unknown to unchristian countries; destroy the literature, the culture, the institutions of learning, the art, the refinement, the place of woman in her home and in society, which owe their origin and power to Christianity; blot out all faith in Divine Providence, love, and righteousness; turn back every believer in Christ to his former state; remove all thought or hope of the forgiveness of sins by a just but gracious God; erase the name of Christ from every register it sanctifies—in a word annihilate all the legitimate and logical effects of Christianity in Christendom—just accomplish in fact what multitudes of gifted and learned minds are wishing and trying to accomplish by their science, philosophy, and criticism, and what multitudes of the common people desire and seek, and not only would all progress toward and unto perfection cease, but not one of the shining lights of infidelity would shine much longer. Yes, the bitterest enemies of this holy and blessed religion, owe their ability to be enemies to its sacred revelations - to the inspiration and sublimity of that faith which reflects its glories on their hostile natures. They live in the strength of that which they would destroy. They are raised to their seats of opportunity and power by the grace of Him they would crucify afresh; and is it to be thought that they are stronger than that which gives them strength? Can it be supposed that a religion which civilizes and subdues, and elevates and blesses will succumb to the enmities it may arouse and quicken in its onward march? Are we to tremble for the ark of God when God is its upholder, and protector, and preserver?”

-- Dr. Benjaming W. Arnett, St. Paul A.M.E. Church, Urbana, Ohio, Centennial Thanksgiving Sermon, November 1876. America's Party chairman Tom Hoefling running for President in 2016

Wednesday, January 13, 2016

Tom Hoefling of Iowa, the founder and national chairman of America's Party (AP), today announced his intention to seek the office of the President of the United States in 2016.

In 2012, Tom Hoefling was the presidential nominee of America's Party, and was nominated and placed on the ballot by the American Independent Party of California (AIP). According to the official tally of the Federal Elections Commission, Tom finished eighth in the 2012 general election. It is believed by the Hoefling campaign that if all of the write-in ballots in the various states had been tallied, he would have placed higher.

Hoefling, who is 55, will once again be seeking the nominations of both America's Party and the American Independent Party of California, as well as the nominations of other ballot-qualified state parties. In the states without an established ballot line, Tom will be running as an Independent candidate.

In his comments today, Tom Hoefling said, “I'm sick and tired of the morally-corrupt Democrats, who have turned into Socialists, and the unprincipled, do-nothing Republicans, who have turned into Democrats. I'm tired of seeing our politics dominated by the money men, the media people, and the political consultants. It's time for decent, patriotic Americans to band together around our country's historic moral, constitutional principles and take our country back; not for the sake of any political party or political personality, but for the sake of our children and grandchildren. I'm in this arena because it's obvious that no one else is truly willing to lead the fight for equal protection for the unborn babies – all of the babies – for one man-one woman marriage, for judges who are kept within their proper authority and jurisdiction, for our God-given right to keep and bear arms, for our national sovereignty, security, and borders, and for the restoration and preservation of our constitutional form of republican self-government.”

“This is a wholly grassroots effort. Our traditional front porch campaign, with a 21st Century technological twist, establishes a completely new standard for the way presidential campaigns are done,” Hoefling said.

In 2015, Tom Hoefling was named by Newsmax as one of America's “Top 100 Most Influential Pro-Life Activists.” He is one of the few political leaders in the country that is rated by American Right to Life as a Tier 1 Personhood pro-life leader.

It is being reported that the Democratic National Committee is seeking an additional $20 million taxpayer dollars to conduct its 2016 national convention.

America's Party firmly opposes the expenditure of a single red cent of public money for the operation of any political party or its process of choosing its candidates.

Make your voice heard! Call your congressmen and senators and demand that they oppose the use of money from the public treasury for the operation of private political associations!

Boehner takes revenge

Foes find themselves losing plum committee posts.

Politico

By Jake Sherman and John Bresnahan

John Boehner is getting revenge.

He secured his third term as speaker Tuesday afternoon, losing 25 votes on the House floor to three relatively unknown members of the House Republican Conference. But he’s already punishing those who betrayed him.

First up: Florida Reps. Daniel Webster and Richard Nugent. The pair will be booted from their spots on the House Rules Committee, according to sources familiar with the decision. Webster ran against Boehner (R-Ohio) for speaker Tuesday, and Nugent supported his fellow Floridian.

According to their ranking minority member, none of the members of the House Rules Committee, of either party, read the $1.1 trillion dollar “omnibus” spending bill before they met to push the legislation toward the floor of the House.

If they had bothered to do their job, here are a few of the choice items they would have found:

A ten-fold increase in the size of individual contributions that can be received by the National Republican Senatorial Campaign Committee, one of the main instruments used to help crush Tea Party Conservatives in the 2014 primaries.

GOP Rep: Leadership Blocked Bill Protecting Churches from Funding Abortion
http://www.nationalreview.com/corner/394360/gop-rep-leadership-blocked-bill-protecting-churches-funding-abortion-joel-gehrke

Obamacare, which almost all Republicans ran against in the 2014 election, remains fully funded.

And apparently, full funding of abortion and so-called “family planning” efforts in America and abroad, via the UN, appear to have remained completely intact.

More continues to come out about this monstrosity of a bill by the hour. Stay tuned.

If you hear a very loud noise outside tonight, it may be the sound of the gnashing of the teeth of the Republican conservatives across the land who actually thought they had won something in the November election.

A nation cannot survive treason from within

10/8/2014

“A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear.”

― Marcus Tullius Cicero
